About Us!

If you’re here, then either you accidentally clicked on something, or you really like to read. If it’s the latter, then you’ve come to the right place. This blog was created by two book-loving teenage cousins: Nikki and Amy. We created this blog because we felt the need to share our favorite books with the world. Enjoy!

We are currently listed on the Book Blogger List, Blogarama, Book Blogger Listing, Book Reviewer Yellow Pages, BookBlogging.net, Bloglist Me, Author E.M.S., and The Book Review Directory.

If you have any questions or recommendations for us, please contact us at: thebookwormgirls123@gmail.com . Thank you!

Nikki

Nikki… Is currently very busy and not to be found. However, you can learn all about her favorite things, her humor, and her reputation (*cough longest posts EVER*) in our most popular post, The Perfect Top Ten Tuesday! You can look at her description of herself here.

Amy

Ah, well. I suppose I can tell you about myself. First of all, I’m a Hufflepuff, and VERY PROUD OF IT. HUFFLEPUFF IS AMAZING. I GET ANGRY WHEN I TALK ABOUT HOW LITTLE HUFFLEPUFFS ARE IN THE HARRY POTTER SERIES. Ahem. Moving along… I’m the brains behind the blog (that’s actually not true; Nikki is the one that suggested we start this blog) often found on this blog (obviously), Goodreads, Twitter, Instagram, and even occasionally Facebook and Pinterest. I usually take review requests, and I’m also easily contacted by email. Wow, that’s a mouthful! I love writing on this blog, and my favorite book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I’m currently growing my book collection as much as possible. Hence this ginormongus (yes, I just made that a word) book haul. Although I (obviously) adore them, I’m not all about the books- I also have quite a bit of fun binge-watching shows on Netflix, and I play the flute and piano… Hmmm… What else? OH. If you’re curious and/or trying to visualize me, I wrote a post describing myself with a Polyvore picture. (I have gotten contacts since then though!) Okay, I feel like this whole thing is just riddled with links. Maybe… Because it is? Oops? THIS IS SO AWKWARD. MAYBE I’LL REWRITE IT LATER. Alright, that’s my attempt at an about me! Feel free to leave a comment, contact me on social media, or email me at thebookwormgirls123@gmail.com …. Yup, just self-promoting. (#sorrynotsorry) Toodles!

    1. I love your post so much! You are so wise. Thank you so much for nominating us! We might not be able to do this award for a while because we are swamped with all these tags and whatnot (I honestly don’t even know what all we have.) Amy’s the organized one… Okay, you don’t need my life story. What I’m trying to say is thank you, and you rock.

  2. Hello Nikki and Amy! Happy blogging. Such a nice thing to express your love for books via this ‘little window to the world’. I’m not that much of a bookworm but I seldom read and stick with that book till the end, be it fiction, fantasy, young adult or oh! Mystery, yay I love mysteries! I’m glad to give you a Follow here. I’d love to know your thoughts on my blog(I’ve been kinda absent there recently, but I’m sure, you’ll understand, ha ha)
Good luck to your blog. Cheers.

  3. Hi. Looking at your blog, I like it, but it occurred to me to ask you:
    1. Why haven’t you added a “read more” found on the Visual Editor?
    2. Are you sure all blog postings are showing up in the reader? I was told that more than 10 tags and catagories, in combination, per post means that the post will not show up in the reader.

I’m Following you. My blog is for Romance readers; it discusses the genre, “what to read next?”, and has articles/entries on many topics geared toward romance. If you’d like to check me out, my blog is:

    1. Hello! Thank you for asking! For your first question, I simply don’t know what that is… Could you help me out there? As for the second, I was not aware of that. I don’t use WordPress readers as often anymore (probably less than I should) but I know that in the past, at least, new posts would show up in the tags. I will definitely look into that.
Thanks so much for the follow! πŸ™‚ I will take a look at your blog; romance isn’t my forte, but you sound very organized and I will definitely give it a go.
Thanks again for commenting! Nikki and I love meeting new people. πŸ™‚

      1. “Read More” is one of the editing symbols in the same line as the boldface and italics symbols. These symbols are in the area you use when adding a new or editing an old post. Put your cursor at the point where youbwant to cut off the copy to appear on your front/home page. Words will appear thete so the reader can click on it to, as it says, “continue reading.” Then the reader won’t have to scroll a lot to see what yoy are offering.
Check with a “Happiness Engineer” or “Help” to see what they say about the total # of combined tags and catagories per post.
        Happy to help

    1. Thanks so much! Happy New Year! We’d love to do it, but no promises. We still have drafts from the very first months of blogging. We will MOST LIKELY get around to it EVENTUALLY but it could be a really long time; haha. Thanks again!
