Hey guys! A few days ago I posted a TBR for The Reading Quest as well as the 7 in 7 readathon, and I am pleased to update you with GOOD NEWS! (Well, mostly) I finished the last 100 pages of Uprooted (which I was reading for #MakeMeRead) on the 14th (first day of 7 in 7, second day of TRQ), and then was able to read the first 70 pages of Book of Shadows before I went to bed. I finished the last 100 pages of BoS today (the 15th) and then was able to knock out Ronit & Jamil in an hour, so I am now 2 books down for both! Unfortunately, I didn’t really love either one, so I figured I’d combine them both in a double review for you guys! Let’s just get started, shall we? Continue reading
Hey guys! Yesterday I posted my #TheReadingQuest TBR, and I mentioned that I had decided to join the 7 in 7 read-a-thon last minute. I had heard of it before but wasn’t planning on joining until it was 2 am on the 11th and all of a sudden I was creating a TBR. Whoops?
If you don’t know, the 7 in 7 readathon is basically all about reading seven things in seven days. They don’t even have to be books! It can be books, short stories, anthologies, magazines, graphic novels, comics, anything, but the goal is to read seven of them. It’s hosted by Ashley @ Said the Story, and she’s enlisted 6 other BookTubers to host some Twitter sprints throughout the week as well! It’s extremely relaxed and it’s just meant to be fun and a great way to get those reading juices flowing!
Alright, let’s get into my TBR! I’ve picked seven (mostly short) books that I aim to read (obviously), but I have a few alternates that I may end up reading instead, depending on my mood! (Covers will be linked to their respective Goodreads pages!) Continue reading
Hey guys! A couple of days ago, I posted a list of all of the August read-a-thons I’ll be participating in, and I mentioned that I would be participating in The Reading Quest and also posting a TBR before it started! Aaaaand here I am! To start, here’s a little run-down on what this whole thing’s all about:
The Reading Quest, hosted by Aentee @ Read at Midnight, is a month-long readathon based on a video game format, in which you attempt to complete prompts for your quest to gain experience and HP!
In this challenge, you’ll be embarking on a journey to conquer your TBR pile through a series of stages. You’ll read new stories, gain experience, and level up a character of your choosing.
The quest will take place between Sunday 13th August to Sunday 10th September, 2017. All adventurers are encouraged to register their interest in the sign up form in Aentee’s original post, which will be open until Sunday 13th August.
CW of Read, Think, Ponder is the amazing artist behind all of the character illustration provided for the readathon! Make sure to give her lots of love; you can find her on Instagram, Twitter, and of course, her fabulous blog!
Hey guys! I announced about a month ago that I was going to be participating in the 24 in 48 readathon, I did it, I had a fabulous time, and then I put off the wrap-up for ages. Well, here it is!
If you don’t know what the 24 in 48 readathon is, it’s essentially a readathon that takes place over the course of 48 hours. During that time, you attempt to read for 24 hours! If you want to know more, you can check out the official 24 in 48 website!
I personally think I did awesome, which I’m really happy with! I finished four books in their entirety, read about half of two different books, and just barely started another. Let’s just get into it, shall we? Continue reading
Well hello there! There are SO many readathons happening in August (and some have already happened, whoops), that I thought I’d make a post on all of the ones I’m participating in! It’s going to be a hectic month with hardly any breaks. I’m crazy, you’re crazy, it’s gonna be great.
Onto the list we gooooooooooooooooooo! Continue reading
That’s right, folks, its that time of year again- the time when the sun decides it wants to murder our skin (unless you’re an Aussie, sorry guys), more books than I could read in my life are published, and ALL OF THE READATHONS COME OUT TO PLAY.
If you don’t know what a readathon is, it’s both supremely awesome and incredibly, devastatingly difficult. Basically, a bunch of people get together, usually on some kind of social media platform, and read as much as you can within a certain amount of time.
Now, my favorite two readathons happen to be overlapping this year. Oh joy. BUT I LOVE THEM SO MUCH HOW COULD I CHOOSE. Continue reading
Hello everyone, it’s Amy (well, not for long)! Recently, I posted on Twitter, asking about anyone interested in guest posting on my blog. I got a couple of takers, and I was super excited! Recently, I did a guest post on Kendra @ Reads and Treats’ blog, and after I responded to her query, I pushed out my own. I’ve been thinking about guest posting/having guest posts for a while now, and especially with school starting, etc., a guest post here every now and then could be really good for me. Feel free to comment below, email me, or tweet me if you’re interested! Anyhoo, my first guest post (EVER!!!) comes from Anna @ Adventures With a Book Nerd! Take it away, Anna! Continue reading
