Hey guys! October has now come to a close… Which means it’s wrap-up time! As you’ve probably already noticed, I read 19 books this month. Yep, I’m insane. No time to waste; let’s dive right in! Continue reading
Hey guys! I preordered Turtles All the Way Down, John Green’s new book, a couple of months ago, and I actually got my copy a day early! It was, indeed, signed, and of course I immediately had to dig in. Since it only came out a few days ago, I thought I’d review it (wow, it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these) and just share my thoughts in general!
Turtles All the Way Down is an incredible, down-to-earth story about a 16-year-old girl named Aza who deals with a difficult mental illness in the form of thought spirals. Oh, and on the side, she’s trying to maintain her friendships, possibly fall in love (without kissing), and track down a missing billionaire. Continue reading
Hey guys, I’m back as promised! This is my first ever OFFICIAL monthly TBR. I’ve been wanting to do one of these for AGES, but I’ve never gotten around to it. I think that if I make one, though, I’ll stick to it. Otherwise I think I’d just, ah, ignore some of these. Oops? Alrighty then…
Hey guys! So, I disappeared for a bit there…
About a month, to be exact. I’m sorry about that! I needed a break, but I kept meaning to post something explaining an official hiatus, and I never got around to it. Boo. Not cool. To be honest, I got really into BookTube (still am) and I lost sight of what I really loved about blogging for a while there. Recently, however, I have rekindled my spark, and I am ready to dive back in! I do plan to take my blog back to its basics, which probably means 1-2 posts a week if I’m busy/uninspired, and some more reviews and tags. I have a lot of fun with those and I just psych myself up so much to do them that they become super intimidating. Anyway, that’s that. Let’s move on, shall we? Continue reading
Hey guys! A few days ago I posted a TBR for The Reading Quest as well as the 7 in 7 readathon, and I am pleased to update you with GOOD NEWS! (Well, mostly) I finished the last 100 pages of Uprooted (which I was reading for #MakeMeRead) on the 14th (first day of 7 in 7, second day of TRQ), and then was able to read the first 70 pages of Book of Shadows before I went to bed. I finished the last 100 pages of BoS today (the 15th) and then was able to knock out Ronit & Jamil in an hour, so I am now 2 books down for both! Unfortunately, I didn’t really love either one, so I figured I’d combine them both in a double review for you guys! Let’s just get started, shall we? Continue reading
Hey guys! I announced about a month ago that I was going to be participating in the 24 in 48 readathon, I did it, I had a fabulous time, and then I put off the wrap-up for ages. Well, here it is!
If you don’t know what the 24 in 48 readathon is, it’s essentially a readathon that takes place over the course of 48 hours. During that time, you attempt to read for 24 hours! If you want to know more, you can check out the official 24 in 48 website!
I personally think I did awesome, which I’m really happy with! I finished four books in their entirety, read about half of two different books, and just barely started another. Let’s just get into it, shall we? Continue reading
Yikes, I haven’t done a Down the TBR Hole in, what… Almost a month? Yikes! I definitely need to get back into the swing of things. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
It’s awesome how well this meme is working for me! I’ve gotten rid of so many books, and the Spring Cleaning Book Tag that I did a week ago definitely helped as well. 🙂
Okay, to be fair, I keep adding a gazillion-trillion books. But I’ve stayed under 700 and the number is still going down more than up! If you want to check out my last Down the TBR Hole, you can do so here. 🙂
Down the TBR Hole is a (very) bookish meme, originally created by Lia @ Lost In A Story. She has since combed through all of her TBR (very impressive) and diminished it by quite a bit, but the meme is still open to others! How to participate:
- Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf
- Order by Ascending Date Added
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or let it go?
